Take a Feeder Vanpool to and from Metra, CTA or Pace Stations

Affordable group transportation between work and park-n-rides or Metra, CTA or Pace transit stations

A Pace Feeder Vanpool helps you save money while traveling from your job to Metra train or CTA and Pace bus services, or even to a park-n-ride lot. You can organize a Feeder Vanpool for trips between your home and public transportation or park-n-ride locations. Depending on the group design, participants can access the van before or after riding public transportation.

Feeder Vanpools are great for regular commutes (2-7 days a week) while an alternative program called VanGo can be set up for one day at a time.

VanGo (one-time rides)

What's Included

Feeder Vanpools are a part of the Vanpool Incentive Program, which is supported by grant funding to keep monthly fares low for riders and free for the primary driver. Plus, the primary driver is allowed 600 miles each month for work-related trips, fueling, maintenance, washes, and the driver’s personal use. You can take the wheel participating at no cost and gather your group while Pace takes care of driver training and supplies:

  • A well-maintained Pace van
  • Fuel & maintenance
  • Automobile liability insurance
  • Roadside assistance
  • Tolls & van washes
  • A guaranteed ride home
  • Customer service

Public Transit Trip Planning

Explore our Transit app to plan a Metra train, CTA and Pace bus ride to work. If you need transit passes, visit Ventra.Chicago.com. Explore park-n-ride locations.

Keep in mind that the Pace Vanpool Incentive Program does not include expenses for CTA and Pace bus or Metra train fares, or parking expenses. Parking fees can vary but many commuter lots are either low-cost or completely free. Typically, when there is a parking fee, these costs are shared among the group, or they might be paid using an employee tax-free commuter benefit.
