Plan your trip, track your ride in real time and more, with the Transit app!
The Transit mobile app provides real-time public transit data in more than 300 metropolitan areas around the world. Pace launched its partnership with Transit in November 2022, and Transit is now Pace's recommended trip planning app. It offers features that no other app does—most importantly, showing Pace's flexible, reservation-based transit options in trip plan results. It also has more accurate real-time departure predictions and crowding information to show passengers how full buses may be based on recent ridership.
Download the app here from the App Store or Google Play.
ATTENTION: As of October 23, Pace recommends that riders upgrade to the latest version of the Transit app. The newest version will offer you all the functionality described below.
On Demand, Pace Connect, and VanGo are now in the Transit app
The Transit app does what no other trip-planning app can do, which is to offer trip plan results that include our Pace On Demand service and our Pace Connect service. Those reservation-based options offer service within certain zones at certain times of day, and rides need to be booked.
Transit's trip planner integrates these new additions together with results that include Pace's bus network, ride hailing, biking, walking. and more to give you the best possible trip!
Please note that Pace On Demand options will be displayed for trips planned in advance since that service can be booked up to seven days in advance. Pace On Demand operates in ten suburban zones, is open to the general public, and costs $2 per ride. To learn more about the Pace On Demand service, click here.
Pace Connect rides are booked for immediate travel, so trips will be displayed as an option in the trip plan results when looking for immediate travel options. Pace Connect operates late-night service in two zones, is open to the general public, and costs $2 per ride. To learn more about the Pace Connect service, click here.
Additionally, the pickup points for Pace's VanGo services are also shown in the Transit app's mapping feature. VanGo enables a registered user to reserve a Pace van for trips inside four suburban zones. To learn more about VanGo, click here.
