Pace Commuter Rideshare User Guides

Explore the Four Tools That Support Your Chicagoland Commute

Inside PaceCommuterRideshare.com

Pace Commuter Rideshare is a public commuter service for workers and students whose travel begins or ends within the six-county Chicagoland region served by Pace. At PaceCommuterRideshare.com, you’ll find four online tools that help you explore regular or one-time commute options and estimate your cost savings and environmental impact. Let’s walk through these tools together.

Commute Search — Find Reliable Travel

After registering, you can:

  1. Search near you for available Pace Vanpools or carpools you can join
  2. Connect with commuters to form a Pace vanpool or carpool
  3. Find others to invite into your existing Pace Vanpool or carpool group
  4. Discover bus and train connections that fit your schedule and/or pair with ridesharing
  5. Locate nearby park‑n‑ride lots for an easy start to your trip

My One-Time Rides — Match for Single Carpool Rides

You can use this online tool to coordinate one-time carpool rides.  It works especially well when paired with an employee or student carpool program where commuters can connect with coworkers or classmates to offer and request occasional carpool rides. The tool also helps you explore local bus and train options. And if you’re taking transit but still need help covering the last few miles to work, Pace VanGo could be available depending on your destination.

Commuter Savings Calculator — Compare Your Costs

Use our Savings Calculator to estimate vanpool and carpool costs compared to driving alone. No registration is required.

Travel Calendar — Track Your Commute and Impact

The Travel Calendar is designed to help you track and manage your daily commute activity so you can calculate actual financial and emission savings. Once you register and start entering daily activity, you can learn the total amount you save monthly.
