Do you travel along the Cermak Road/22nd Street corridor? Pace wants to hear from you!
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — Pace Suburban Bus invites the public to participate in upcoming virtual meetings to learn about the Pulse Cermak/22nd Street Line project and provide feedback on the planned improvements. The Pulse Cermak/22nd Street Line is an arterial bus rapid transit project intended to provide enhanced transit service and infrastructure between the CTA Pink Line’s 54th/Cermak Station in Cicero and the Yorktown Center area in Lombard. The Cermak/22nd Street Line will be the fifth Pulse Line in Pace’s Pulse network. Pulse provides premium limited-stop bus service in heavily traveled corridors in northeastern Illinois.
Pace will host two virtual meetings for the public, one for English-speaking attendees and another for Spanish-speaking attendees, on Wednesday, October 1, and Thursday, October 2, via Zoom at the following times:

These sessions will give residents, commuters, business leaders, and elected officials the opportunity to hear directly from agency staff and the project team, ask questions, and share ideas for improving bus service along the Cermak Road, 22nd Street, and Butterfield Road corridor.
“Our Pulse program enhances transit frequency and reliability while improving the overall customer experience through upgraded stations and vehicles on some of our busiest routes,” said Melinda Metzger, Pace Executive Director. “Route 322, which currently operates in the corridor, consistently ranks among our top ten routes in ridership, making this project a significant investment in the region. We look forward to engaging with the communities along the corridor and gathering input to help shape the Pulse Cermak/22nd Street Line.”
Registration is free. Interested residents can visit pacebus.com/pulse-cermak to learn more. Written comments will also be accepted before and after the meetings and can be submitted by email to pulse@pacebus.com.
