Job Description:
Under the direction of the Regional Manager, or designee, the superintendent of maintenance is responsible for planning and supervising all activities of the Maintenance Technical Service Acceptance Facility, currently located in South Holland, Illinois. Duties and responsibilities include:
- coordinating, overseeing, and contributing to all CNG and electrification projects, including vehicle procurements fueling station design, construction and maintenance, modifications to existing facilities for CNG and electrification use and construction of new facilities to house CNG and EV vehicles;
- reviewing of regional project(s) and construction planning as it relates to maintenance facilities;
- assisting Superintendents of Maintenance with the implementation of CNG and EV fleets;
- overseeing current and future maintenance technical service facility maintenance; directing building and ground repairs as needed;
- other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications
Age:
21+
Education:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalency, technical school certification in automotive/diesel, and/or complete Pace's mechanic training program, an associate degree or bachelor's degree is preferred.
Experience:
Must have at least 5 years of experience in transit operations or maintenance. Must have at least two years supervisory and/or management experience
Certifications:
Must have or obtain a Class B commercial driver's license within 60 days of being hired.
Proficiencies:
Must have and demonstrate good teambuilding and interpersonal skills. Must have basic proficiency with Microsoft Office suites applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel, and with the Oracle Maintenance System.
Physical Requirements:
This position entails walking, bending, stooping, and lifting and/or moving heavy equipment (approximately 75+ pounds)
This is a safety sensitive position.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in an office environment where the candidate may sit for an extended period of time and type on a computer and in garage setting with exposure to loud noises and noxious odors, and outdoors with exposure to inclement weather.
This position is not eligible for hybrid schedule or telecommuting.

Full Salary Range: $73,543-162,305
Midpoint: $117,924
Starting Salary: $95,733 – 117,924
