Dial-a-Ride Services: Lake County

There are 2 Dial-a-Ride services in Lake County. Service boundaries, fares, and eligibility vary. See below for details.

Service:Barrington 
Service Area:In and between Barrington, Barrington Twp, Cuba Twp, Deer Park south of Long Grove Rd, west of Deerpath, north of County Line, east of Ela Rd, Unincorporated Palatine Twp south of County Line, west and north of Deer Grove Forest Preserve, north of Thunderbird GC, east of Vlg of Barrington, the portion of Lake Barrington in Wauconda Twp, and the area surrounded by Rt 22, Rt 14 and Kelsey Rd. Service also provided from above to shopping areas of Lake Zurich along Rt 12 between Miller Rd and Cuba Rd, along Rt 22 between Rd 12 and Ela Rd and along Ela Rd between Rd 12 and Rt 22. 
Service Hours:Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. 
Eligibility:Disabled, senior 
Fares:$2.00 
Advanced Call-In1 day in advance. Doctor visits may be booked a week in advance.

Additional Info:Service also provided to portions of Lake Zurich and covers portions of both Lake and Cook Counties. Check trip status with TripCheck. 
   
   
Service:Ride Lake County 
Service Area:Lake County and surrounding area 
Service Hours:Transportation services are available Monday through Sunday, 6:00am to 6:00pm.  
Eligibility:Seniors (60+) are eligible. Also, individuals with a disability providing their RTA reduced fare permit number, RTA ride free permit number or their ADA Paratransit ID number are considered eligible. 
Fares:$2.00 for 5 miles or less, $4.00 for trips between 5.01 and 10 miles, and $6.00 for trips longer than 10 miles. 
Advanced Call-InEligible riders may make reservations two (2) hours to seven (7) days in advance of the requested trip. *Service will not operate on the following holidays as observed by the County: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
