Wrigley Field Express
Service Dates:
Service is limited to the Chicago Cubs' weekend home games and weekend concerts. See Wrigley Field Express Schedule.
Service Hours:
Buses are scheduled to arrive 1 hour before the first pitch and 1 hour before the concert starts. Buses depart from Wrigley Field 30 minutes after the event ends.
Boarding:
The location at which you are dropped off before the event is the same location at which you need to board the bus after the event--on Clark Street between Byron and Irving Park Road. Riders boarding buses post-event should ensure they board the bus headed to their correct suburban destination by reading the electronic headsign above the bus windshield.
Cost:
Only $4.50 per person each way! Riders can use Ventra, cash, mobile wallets (Samsung/Google/Fitbit/Apple Pay apps) or your personal contactless bankcard. Exact change is required if paying with cash.
Surcharges apply and can be paid with cash or Ventra transit value for riders using regular Pace/CTA passes or when transferring from other Pace/CTA services. Transfers are not available using contactless debit/credit cards unless they are registered to your Ventra account. Free rides for RTA Ride Free Cardholders and up to two children (under 7 years old) riding with each fare paying adult. Reduced fares are available for RTA Reduced Fare qualified riders.
Alternative Options:
Fans can also take Pace's regular fixed-route buses, in connection with CTA, to all Wrigley Field events at lower fares via transit centers in Rosemont, Forest Park, and elsewhere. Pace buses from those destinations connect with CTA rail lines and buses. See the Trip Planner to find the best way to get to Wrigley Field on the days when this Express service does not run. (Please also note the Wrigley Field Express service will not show up in trip plan results due to its irregular schedule, but the schedule linked above will provide accurate information about when those express routes run.)
Please note: Pace is not able to serve every Wrigley Field event due to various resource constraints and can only provide one bus from the Hillside Park-n-Ride boarding location and up to three buses from the Northwest Transportation Center for weekend-only Wrigley Field events.
Riders are seated on a first-come-first-served basis. Pace should be able to accommodate everyone who wants to ride but, in instances of extreme overcrowding, and at the bus operator's discretion, some riders may not be able to board.
