The Wilmette Fireworks Express takes passengers right to Gillson Park for the July 3, 2025 fireworks display. Riders can take advantage of free parking (but please note parking is limited and available on a first-come-first-served basis) and a relaxing ride to the show.
Buses are available for customers to board at Loyola Academy, 1100 Laramie Avenue in Wilmette. Service will run every 10 minutes from 4:30 pm until 6:00 pm from Loyola Academy to Gillson Park, and then every 5 minutes from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
After the fireworks the buses will depart from Gillson Park back to Loyola Academy. Those buses operate until the park is empty.
Cost
Each rider pays the $4.50 round trip fare at the time of boarding at Loyola Academy, payable by cash or Ventra Card. Upon payment, the rider will be given a ticket good for the return trip. When boarding the return trip from Gillson Park to Loyola after the fireworks, hand the driver your ticket.
