Routes 226, 250 and Pulse Dempster Line Detour Alert

Due to utility work, Graceland Avenue at Miner Street in Des Plaines will be closed beginning Monday, July 28, 2025. All westbound buses will operate on the following detour:
Routes 226, 250 and Pulse Dempster Line Westbound
Miner Street → Lee Street → Perry Street → River Road → Thacker Street → Graceland Avenue → resume regular route
During this detour, buses will not serve Graceland Avenue between Miner Street and Thacker Street.
Eastbound Route 226, 250 and Pulse Dempster Line buses are not affected by the construction and will operate their regular route.
On the temporary segment of the route, posted bus stop signs will not be present. Riders can get on or off the bus at any safe intersection along that segment.
Buses will detour until work on the railroad crossing is completed and Graceland Avenue is reopened to traffic, which is expected to occur on Thursday, August 9, 2025. Please allow extra travel time during this detour.
