Job Description:
Under the direction of the Section Manager, Operating Services, the Passenger Facilities Maintenance Specialist is responsible for general and routine maintenance required at more than 20 Pace passenger facilities. Performs regular inspections, monitors all contracted activities and performs minor repairs as required to keep the facilities in good working order and appearance. Maintains inventory supplies and inspection documents and performs other duties as assigned or required. This position covers the entire Pace service area. Essential duties include:
1) Ensuring that all facility systems are properly functioning, makes minor repairs as necessary, and promptly reports deficiencies.
2) Conducting facility inspections of exterior areas, including parking lots and bus drives, for appearance and noticeable concerns.
3) Conducting facility inspections of interior areas, for appearance and to ensure all equipment is maintained in good working order.
4) Maintaining inventory of supplies for facilities.
5) Maintaining inspection documents and company vehicle maintenance documentation.
6) Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Age:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Education:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalency
Experience (how many years, what specific experience):
Must have at least 3 years of experience in facility maintenance or a comparable field with a good work history and excellent attendance.
Certifications:
Must have or obtain within 6 months of being hired, a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License with air brake endorsements.
Proficiencies:
Must have the ability to operate all Pace equipment and have a complete set of hand tools sufficient to perform the duties of the position. Must have knowledge in reading blueprints and maintenance manuals. Must have knowledge and skills to perform preventative maintenance, routine repairs of the building and facility systems, which includes basic plumbing, and electrical repairs.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand for long periods of time, climb ladders, and capable of lifting 75 pounds to waist height, maintaining and carrying that weight for a minimum of ten feet.
This position is safety sensitive.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed both indoors and outdoors where the employee may be exposed to loud noises and/or inclement weather. The performance of these duties may be required 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
This position is not eligible for a hybrid work schedule or telecommuting.
Starting salary range: $54,768-$65,478
Full salary range: $44,057-$86,898
Salary midpoint: $65,478
