Under the direction of the Section Manager, Operating Services, is responsible for general and routine maintenance required at more than 20 Pace passenger facilities. Ensures that all facility systems are functioning properly, makes minor repairs as necessary, and promptly reports deficiencies; conducts facility inspections of exterior areas, including parking lots and bus drives, for appearance and noticeable concerns; conducts facility inspections of interior areas, for appearance and to ensure all equipment is maintained in good working order; maintains inventory of supplies for facilities; maintains inspection documents and company vehicle maintenance documentation; and performs other duties as assigned. This is a safety sensitive position.
Must be at least 21 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent, have a DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate, and have at least three years' experience in facility maintenance or a comparable field. Must have or be able to obtain a valid Class "A" Commercial Driver's License with air brake endorsement within 60 days of hire date. Must have the ability to operate all Pace equipment and have a complete set of hand tools sufficient to perform the duties of the position. Must be able to read and follow blueprints and maintenance manuals. Must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to perform preventative maintenance and routine repairs of the building and facility systems, which includes basic plumbing, and electrical repairs. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office products is preferred. Work is performed at garages and other facilities, including sites under construction. Work is performed in an indoor and outdoor environment, which may be subject to extreme temperatures and weather conditions. Must be available to work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Must be able to climb ladders and lift and/or move equipment weighing up to 75 pounds.
