Routes 563, 565, 568 and 571 Detour Alert

Effective Sunday, June 29, 2025 ONLY

Due to the closure of Sheridan between Washington and Parmalee for the Independence Day Parade in Waukegan, all buses will stage at the Waukegan Metra Station for their timed transfers. As a result, Routes 563, 565, 568 and 571 will operate via the following detour routes from approximately 9:00 AM until early evening:

Routes 563 and 568

• Genesee ↔ Washington ↔ Waukegan Metra Station

• Buses will not serve Sheridan north of Washington, Clayton and Genesee north of Washington

Route 565

• Grand ↔ County ↔ Washington ↔ Waukegan Metra Station

• Buses will not serve Sheridan north of Washington, and Grand east of County

Route 571

• Sheridan ↔ Longview ↔ North ↔ Franklin ↔ Genesee ↔ Washington ↔ Waukegan Metra Station

• Buses will not serve Sheridan between Washington and Longview

• Please allow additional travel time during the detour.
