Routes 501, 505, 507 Detour Alert

Effective Thursday, May 22, 2025

Due to the closure of the Jefferson Street bridge over the Des Plaines River in Joliet, buses will detour as follows:

Routes 501 and 507 Eastbound:

Jefferson → Hickory → Bridge → Ottawa (regular route).

Route 505 Counterclockwise Inbound:

Hickory → Bridge → Ottawa (regular route).

During the detour, buses will not operate on Jefferson Street between Hickory Street and Ottawa Street.

Buses will detour until work is complete, which is expected in late July.
