Route 801 Detour Alert

Effective Wednesday, June 24, 2026

Due to the closure of 3rd Street for the Swedish Days Festival in downtown Geneva, Route 801 buses will operate through Saturday, June 27, 2026, as follows:

Route 801 Southbound

• IL 31 (1st St) → 3rd → South → 4th → Crescent → End at Geneva Metra Station

• Buses will not serve 3rd Street north of Crescent Place

Route 801 Northbound

• Geneva Metra Station → 3rd → Resume regular route

Please note that posted bus stop signs will not be present along the detour route. Passengers may get on or off the bus at any intersection along the detour route where it is safe to do so. Please allow additional travel time during this detour.
