Route 562 Detour Alert

Effective Thursday, November 6, 2025,

Due to long-term construction on Jackson between Oak Crest and Low, Route 562 trips will detour as follows:

Westbound:
Washington → Butrick → Ridgeland → Jackson (regular route)

Eastbound:
Jackson → Ridgeland → Butrick → Washington (to regular route)

During this detour, buses will not serve Jackson between Washington and Ridgeland.

Please note that posted bus stop signs will not be present along the detour routing. Passengers may get on or off the bus at any intersection along the detour where it is safe to do so.
 

Buses will resume regular routing following completion of work, expected by early March 2026
