Route 472 Detour Alert
Effective Saturday, July 19, 2025
(until 11:00am ONLY)
Due to the temporary closure of Sheridan Rd north of Walker Ave for an event in Highwood, on the morning of July 19 all buses will detour as follows:
Walker Ave ↔ Waukegan Rd ↔ Highwood Ave ↔ Green Bay Rd
During this detour, buses will not serve Sheridan Rd north of Walker, Washington Ave between Sheridan Rd and Green Bay Rd, and Green Bay Rd north of Highwood Ave.
Buses will detour until the event is over and Sheridan reopens, which is expected to be at approximately 11:00am. Please allow additional travel time during this detour.
