Route 353 Detour Alert
Starts Monday, July 8, 2025
Due to road construction, Lincoln Avenue in Dolton is closed. As a result, buses will detour as follows:
Doctor M.L.K. Jr. Drive ↔ 142nd ↔ Indiana (regular route)
During the detour there will be no service on Doctor M.L.K.Jr. Drive north of 142nd Street, or on Lincoln Avenue and Leyden Avenue from 142nd Street to Indiana Avenue.
On the temporary route segments, bus stop signs will not be present. Riders can get on or off the bus at any safe intersection along those segments.
Regular service will resume when construction is complete, expected in one week.
