Route 315 Detour Alert
Effective Wednesday, February 18, 2026 (ONLY)
Due to Viaduct work southbound Austin Avenue between Lake Street and Corcoran Place/South Boulevard in Chicago will be closed. Route 315 will operate on the following detour:
Route 315 Southbound Detour
Depart Lake/Austin → Lake Street → Mayfield Avenue → Corcoran Place → Menard Avenue → Lake Street → Lombard Avenue → South Boulevard → Austin Boulevard → regular route
While this detour is in effect, Route 315 will not operate southbound on Austin Boulevard between Corcoran Place/South Boulevard and Lake Street.
On the temporary route segments, bus stop signs will not be present. Riders can get on or off the bus at any safe intersection along those segments.
Buses will return to current southbound detour as of March 14, 2025, in this area on Thursday, February 19, 2026.
