Route 290 Service Change
Effective Sunday, December 7, 2025
To better serve riders, Pace is improving and expanding service on Route 290. A summary of the changes is provided below:
Weekday Changes:
• The eastbound trip that arrives at Touhy/Milwaukee at 4:23PM after departing from Overhill will begin at the Park Ridge Metra Station at 4:15PM.
• The westbound trip that departs the CTA Red, Purple and Yellow Line Howard Station at 2:05PM will now end at the CTA Blue Line Cumberland Station at 3:07PM.
Saturday Changes:
• In the morning and evening, additional trips added and several existing trips adjusted to improve both the hours and frequency of service.
o Service will be available from 4:50AM to 12:45AM.
o Morning and evening buses will run about every 15-45 minutes.
Sunday Changes:
• In the morning and evening, additional trips added and several existing trips adjusted to improve both the hours and frequency of service.
o Service will be available from 5:53AM to 12:00AM.
o Morning and evening buses will run about every 15-60 minutes.
