Route 226 Detour Notice
Starts Thursday, August 21, 2025
Due to an event, Oakton Street will be closed between Lincoln Avenue and Lockwood Avenue in Skokie. As a result, buses will detour as follows:
Route 226 Westbound Detour
Niles Center Road à Lincoln Avenue à Gross Point Road à
Oakton Street à Resume regular routing
Route 226 Eastbound Detour
Oakton Street à Gross Point Road à Lincoln Avenue à Niles Center Road à Resume regular routing
During this detour, Route 226 will not operate on Oakton Street between Lincoln Avenue and Gross Point Road.
Buses will resume regular service through this area on Monday, August 25, 2025.
Please allow additional travel time while this detour is in effect.
