Route 209 Detour Alert
Effective Thursday, March 14, 2024
Due to the railroad closure at Ozark Avenue between Olmsted Avenue and Avondale Avenue in Chicago/Park Ridge, Route 209 will detour as follows until construction is complete, which is expected to be Monday, March 18, 2024:
Route 209 Southbound Detour
Touhy Avenue → Prospect Avenue → Courtland Avenue → Talcott Road → Canfield Avenue → regular route
Route 209 Northbound Detour
Canfield Avenue → Talcott Road → Courtland Avenue → Prospect Avenue → Summit Avenue → regular route
On the temporary segments of the route, posted bus stop signs will not be present. Riders can get on or off the bus at any safe intersection along those segments.
Please allow extra travel time during this detour.
