Pace Bus - ADA Paratransit Service Directory

This paratransit service is required by the federal Americans with Disabilities Act. Only persons who are certified by the Regional Transportation Authority as a person with a disability are eligible to ride this service. Trips are only provided at the same times and within the same geographic areas as fixed route. Pace operates this service across the entire six-county region, including Chicago, but passengers call different phone numbers to reserve rides depending on where they live. The fare is $3.00 per trip for all ADA paratransit services.

ADA Paratransit service is provided within three-quarters of a mile of fixed route service and mirrors fixed route hours and days. To find the nearest fixed route in your area visit http://www.pacebus.com or http://www.goroo.com and find Pace or CTA Route Finder and search for your community.

Fixed Route is defined as a designated public transportation service along a prescribed route (Regular Bus Routes).

* Service area designations are approximate. Service is available in some suburban areas served by CTA bus routes There are alternatives to using ADA paratransit service in Chicago. Chicago residents who are certified ADA riders can use the Taxi Access Program (TAP), which provides more flexibility in scheduling. ADA paratransit riders who take the same trip at least once per week may be able to use the Mobility Direct (MD) taxi subscription service.
