The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Northeastern Illinois, effective early Friday morning (January 12) through Saturday morning (January 13). Heavy snowfall with strong wind gusts and the potential for periodic blizzard conditions are projected for our area.
This winter weather event may slow traffic and cause service delays. Pace encourages passengers to postpone non-essential travel if they are able and prepare for longer travel times and challenging conditions throughout Friday and Saturday. Paratransit riders choosing to cancel reservations should do so as soon as possible. For those who must travel, wear warm clothing, add layers, and prepare for possible delays until roads are clear.
Use Bus Tracker (fixed-route), Trip Check (paratransit), and Pace’s recommended trip planning app, Transit, for real-time updates.
