Routes 563, 564, 568 Detour Alert
Effective Thursday, December 3, 2020
Due to ongoing traffic issues with the Waukegan Community-Based COVID-19 Testing Site in Waukegan; Routes 563, 564, and 568 buses will operate on the following detour:
Route 563 Northbound Detour
Sheridan → Belvidere → Sheridan → Resume regular routing
Route 564 Eastbound Detour
Belvidere → Sheridan → Resume regular routing
Route 568 Eastbound Detour
Belvidere → Sheridan → Resume regular routing
During this detour, Route 563 will not serve Belvidere between Sheridan & Genesee, Genesee between Belvidere & Washington, and Washington between Genesee & Sheridan. Routes 564 and 568 will not serve Genesee between Belvidere & Washington and Washington between Genesee & Sheridan.
Routes 563 Southbound, 564 Westbound, and 568 Westbound are not affected by the testing site traffic issues and will operating regular routing.
Buses will detour until further notice.
Please note that posted bus stop signs will not be present along the detour routing. Passengers may get on or off the bus at any intersection along the detour where it is safe to do so. Please allow additional travel time during this detour.
