Routes 356 and 359 Detour Alert
Starts Monday, March 6, 2023
During the reconstruction of the Homewood Metra Station’s Harwood Avenue entrance and the Pace bus terminal, Route 356 (Sunday only) and Route 359 (Weekday only) will detour as follows:
Route 356 Sunday
Westbound: Ridge - Harwood - 183rd - Park - end at Amtrak station
Eastbound: Start at Amtrak station - Park - Dixie - Ridge - Harwood - 183rd(regular route)
Route 359 Weekday
Southbound: 183rd - Park - Dixie - Ridge - end at Ridge/Martin
Northbound: Start at Amtrak station - Park - Dixie - Ridge - Harwood - 183rd (regular route)
During the detour, Route 359 weekday trips will not serve 183rd east of Harwood or Dixie south of Ridge. Passengers in downtown Homewood should use existing Pace bus stops on Ridge/Martin and Harwood/183rd. Passengers connecting to/from Metra and Amtrak trains should use the new Park Avenue Amtrak Station stop located on the west side of the tracks.
Construction will continue through Summer 2024. Please allow additional travel time during this detour.
