Routes 208 and 234 Detour Alert

Starts Monday, April 10, 2023 at noon

Due to traffic restrictions at Miner Street and River Road for the reconstruction of the Miner Street Bridge over the Des Plaines River in Des Plaines, Routes 208 and 234 will detour as follows:

Routes 208 Eastbound and 234 Northbound

Miner Street → Rand Road → River Road → Regular Route

Buses will operate express on the detour routing and will not serve stops on River Road between Miner Street and Rand Road.  Please allow additional travel time.

Routes 208 Westbound and 234 Southbound are not affected by the traffic restrictions and will operate their regular routing.

Buses will detour until construction is complete which is expected to be in the fall of 2023.
