Routes 208, 250 and 422 Detour Alert

Effective Thursday, March 31, 2022

Due to construction on Benson Street between Church Street and Davis Street, buses will not serve Benson Street in front of the CTA Purple Line Station between Church Street and Davis Street.

Instead, Routes 208, 250 and 422 will drop off and pick up passengers on Davis Street between Benson Street and Maple Avenue (under the viaduct) and will detour as follows:

Routes 208 (eastbound) and Route 250 (eastbound)
Church Street → Sherman Avenue → Davis Street

Route 422 (westbound 2:06am trip from Howard CTA to UPS ONLY)
Sherman Avenue → Davis Street → Regular Route

Westbound Routes 208 and 250 will operate the normal routing starting at the temporary terminal on Davis Street under the viaduct as noted above.

On the detour segments east of Benson, Routes 208 and 250 will serve all bus stop signs that are present for other services.

Benson Street will be closed until construction is completed, which is expected to be in late May 2022.
