Route 505 Detour Alert

Due to the closure of the Jackson St. bridge over the Des Plaines River in downtown Joliet for construction, buses on Route 505 will detour as follows:

Counterclockwise (outbound): Jackson – Joliet – Cass – Broadway (regular route).

Clockwise (inbound): Broadway – Division – Hickory – Western – Center – Jefferson – Ottawa (regular route).

During the detour, all buses will not operate on Bridge and clockwise (inbound) buses will not operate on Ottawa between Bridge and Jefferson.

Buses will pick up and drop off passengers at any intersection along the detour routing where it is safe to do so. Regular service will resume when construction is completed, expected around October 7, 2024.
