Route 331 Detour Alert

Effective Monday, May 10, 2021

Due to construction of the Brookfield Avenue Bridge over the Salt Creek in the Village of Brookfield, all Route 331 trips that normally serve Brookfield Village Hall will detour as follows:

Route 331 Southbound Detour
Grand Boulevard → Brookfield Avenue

Route 331 Northbound Detour
Brookfield Avenue → Maple Avenue → Resume regular routing

Southbound trips will end and northbound trips will begin on Brookfield Avenue west of Prairie Avenue. The Brookfield Village Hall and Brookfield Avenue east of Prairie Avenue will not be served during this detour. Also, northbound buses will not serve Grand Boulevard between Brookfield Avenue and Maple Avenue.

Trips that serve La Grange/Hillgrove are not affected by the detour and will operate their normal routing.

Buses will detour until the bridge reopens, which is expected to be in November 2021. Please allow extra travel time during the detour.
