Job Description:
Under the direction of the Section Manager, Grants Administration, identifies and writes grant applications for funding opportunities made available by Federal Transit Agency (FTA), the Regional Transportation Authority, Illinois Department of Transportation, Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP), and other organizations. Tracks and monitors grant obligations and expenditures and prepares monthly and quarterly progress reports as required by funding agencies, senior management, and other internal stakeholders. Utilizes Oracle to maintain and manage grants information and data. Enters and updates grant information in the FTA's TrAMS system and CMAP's E-TIP system as required. Assists in the preparation and submission of Pace's five-year capital Program and amendments. Coordinates and collaborates with various Pace departments to ensure success in meeting Pace's grants management goals. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications:
Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record. Must have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, urban planning, business administration, or related field. Must have a minimum of three years' experience in grants management, budgeting, and/or accounting for construction and/or other large-scale projects. Must be proficient with Microsoft Suites applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Adobe Acrobat, proficiency with Oracle software is preferred. Must demonstrate excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to successfully manage multiple projects at a time. Work is primarily performed in a professional office environment. Local travel is required.
