Under the direction of the Section Manager, Facility Maintenance, inspects, operates, maintains, and repairs the HVAC system and equipment; inspects and maintains the life safety equipment; administers the access management system; performs in-house maintenance and repair work associated with the electrical and plumbing systems; performs inspection and maintenance of grounds; operates mailroom equipment and processes incoming and outgoing mail and packages; administers the service contracts using Oracle for requisitions and manages the contracts for the HVAC, life safety, plumbing systems, equipment and ground maintenance at headquarters; maintains service, repair, and inspection records; compiles specifications; solicits and approves quotes; approves, verifies, and processes invoices; and performs other duties as required. Must be on call 24/7. Work is performed indoors in a professional office environment as well as outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record, an associate degree or equivalent experience, EPA # 608 Refrigeration Certificate, five years of building maintenance experience, lift truck safety training, and a good work record. Must have experience with Building Automation System (BAS). Must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel, experience with Oracle is preferred. Must possess strong interpersonal and research skills; a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend technical manuals, schematics, manuals, diagrams, specifications, and blueprints; organized and self-motivated; and be able to properly prioritize work and troubleshoot issues. Work requires standing and walking, and lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of objects weighing over 100 pounds.
