The Senior Business Analyst provides strategic business analysis services to Pace departments, working closely with those departments to gain in-depth understanding of the context in which the department operates, its goals, and its processes. This role is key to understanding the documenting capabilities needed to address department challenges. The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for reviewing assigned business processes from end-to-end to identify and address operational, financial, and technological risk and to identify opportunities to improve efficiency. Responsibilities include leading small to mid-size projects; assisting other project managers on larger more complex projects related to operational functions; setting up, configuring, personalizing, and supporting various Oracle EBS modules; and performing other duties as required. The work week typically exceeds 40 hours, and the position is on-call 24/7.
Must have a valid driver's license, a bachelor's degree in business or computer science, and a minimum of five years of Oracle EBS functional analyst experience with a specific concentration in finance Oracle EBS modules. Certified Business Analysis Professional, Oracle E-Business Suite Procurement, financial management, or similar certifications are a plus. Must have database and operating systems experience with Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server, and my SQL. Must have experience developing project artifacts such business requirements, business processes, design documentation, test case, project reports and project plans. Must be able to develop project plans, stay on schedule, and guide project team resources through a collaborative team building approach. Must have a keen eye for identifying operating inefficiencies and fragmented systems and data while leveraging out of the box software capabilities and searching for bolt on applications that improve Oracle EBS as the enterprise solution. Must be able to troubleshoot problems and support and upgrade implemented systems as required from time to time. Familiarity with data needs of finance system requirements, which may include procure to pay, fixed assets, revenue recognition, cash and financial close is preferred. Must be technically competent with various software programs, such as Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Skype for Business and possess strong familiarity with project management software, such as Microsoft Project and ServiceNow PPM. Must be familiar with programming languages, including APEX, Visual Basic, .Net, SharePoint, and PL SQL. Must be competent and have a proficient understanding of platforms, such as Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud, and Amazon Webservices. Must have working knowledge of current internet technologies. The ability to develop reports in Oracle's BI Publisher is a plus. Working in the transportation, vehicle, or facilities repair business is preferred. Experience in Oracle's unified methodology is preferred. Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential as is the ability to adapt and respond to project adjustments, and shifting priorities, demands, and timelines promptly and efficiently. Must be a critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills. Strong verbal and written communications skills and the ability to relate to both technical and non-technical audiences are a must as is the ability to develop and manage projects and schedules. Must be adept at conducting project-related research and must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies. Must have strong customer service skills, a high level of personal integrity, and the ability to handle confidential matters professionally. Work is performed in an office environment with typical ranges of temperature and background noise. Duties are primarily performed while sitting at a desk, however occasional travel to Pace operating divisions and out of region meetings, conferences, and training is expected. Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling objects of up to 20 pounds is expected.
