Under the direction of the Department Manager, IT Administration & Project Delivery or designee, the IT Project Manager will define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with management and stakeholders. Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis. Set and continually manage project expectations, project milestones, and deliverables with team members. Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas. Perform overall project risk and issue management. Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties. Conduct project post- mortems and create a recommendation report identifying successful and unsuccessful project elements. Support and enhance the project portfolio management hardware, software, services, and processes used to monitor and manage Pace projects. Perform other duties as assigned. The work week typically exceeds 40 hours, and the position is on call 24/7.
Qualified candidate must have an associate degree in business, computer science, public administration, or comparable related experience, a bachelor's degree is preferred. Project Management Professional certification or equivalent is desired. Must have a minimum of two years previous direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution, with a good work record. Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is required. Must have database and operating systems experience with Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL, Server, and MySQL. Must be technically competent with various software programs, such as Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. Must have strong familiarity with project management software, such as Microsoft Project, and ServiceNow PPM. Must be familiar with programming languages, including APEX, Visual Basic., Net SharePoint, and PL SQL. Proficient understanding of platforms, such as Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud, and Amazon Webservices. Must possess a solid working knowledge of current Internet technologies. The proficient use of computers, printers, copiers, fax machines, and other office equipment is required. Must be flexible and able to adapt quickly and efficiently to shifting priorities. Must be a critical thinker with strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and interpersonal skills. Must possess and demonstrate strong customer service skills. Must effectively manage, prioritize, and execute multiple projects and tasks to meet demands in a high-pressure environment. Must exhibit strong written and oral communication skills. Must be able to handle confidential information with professionalism, maintaining confidentiality. Work is performed in an office environment with typical ranges of temperature and background noise. This position involves lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling objects of up to 20 pounds. Occasional local and out of region travel is required.
