Job Description:
Under the direction of the Superintendent of Maintenance, is responsible for maintaining all records utilizing the Oracle system, Veeder-Root, and Fleetwatch; receiving and issuing parts and supplies; handling incoming and outgoing shipments, evaluating parts usage from equipment repair orders; handling bus down situations; reviewing stock levels; preparing reorder notices to replenish and maintain inventory levels; performing and verifying cycle counts; investigating and resolving parts variances; preparing requisitions; preparing and issuing transfers; maintaining MRO inventory balances; monitoring gas readings and maintaining fluid and fuel levels; maintaining a clean and organized stockroom; and performing other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidate must be at least 21 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid Illinois driver's license with a good driving record. Must have or be able to obtain forklift certification within six months after date of hire. Must have one to two years' previous experience in stockroom operations, shipping, and receiving and have a good work history. Must demonstrate basic level proficiency utilizing Microsoft suite applications (Outlook, Word, Excel), experience with Oracle is preferred. Must demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills and be able to work independently. Work is performed in a stockroom, shipping, and receiving environment. Lifting bus parts weighing up to 75 pounds is often required.
