Under the direction of the IT Security Administrator or designee, the Information Security Analyst is responsible for assisting in the administration of Pace's information security controls, policies, procedures, and standards for all of Pace's networks, applications, and databases. Responsibilities includes the ability to audit and ensure that Pace's information assets are adequately protected in a manner that meets compliance and regulatory requirements. This position will be monitoring security access, responding, and analyzing security breaches to identify the root cause. Be able to perform vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, security audits, and conducting computer investigations using E-discovery tools. Acting as a data steward to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive information. Review, test, and assist in maintaining Pace's IT disaster recovery plan. Create and manage project plans and minor Request for Proposals. Provide security guidance to other members of IT and business departments. Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsources, and contractors to secure software products and services. Assist in Pace's security awareness training program through deploying videos, newsletters, and perform one-on-one training to Pace employees. Perform other duties as assigned. This position is on call 24/7.
Bachelor's degree in computer information systems or related degree, and a minimum of 4 years of experience in an information security role or related role. Must have working technical knowledge of Cisco firewalls and routers, Windows Servers and Desktops, Linux, Active Directory, SQL Server and Oracle databases, and Microsoft office. Application programming support experience with Citrix, Powershell, Perl, and networking scripting languages is a plus. Must possess knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws and have strong advanced web searching skills. Must be a strong logical and analytical thinker. Must have the ability to think broadly and consider impacts across systems and within the organization. Must have strong interpersonal and oral communications skills and be adept at reading, writing, and interpreting technical documentation and procedure manuals. Must be highly self-motivated and directed and be able to multitask, effectively prioritize, and meet deadlines. This position involves dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and to handle other computer components and lifting and transporting of computers and peripherals weighing up to 30 pounds. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time in a cubicle and stand for extended periods of time in an air-conditioned computer room.
