Job Description:
Under the direction of the Section Manager Design & Construction, performs technical and administrative work in support of Pace's Design & Construction Section. Will work closely with Pace project managers and other staff to implement capital construction projects. Responsibilities include: Field observation of construction projects and preparation of daily field reports; assists in the review of contractor shop drawing submittals, requests for information (RFls), change order proposals (COPs), and pay applications; assist in the review of plans, specifications, and other technical documents prepared by Pace's Architectural and Engineering Consultants; assists in the preparation of sketches and concept plans for Pace facilities; assists in the preparation and review of construction cost estimates; additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidate must currently be working toward a bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related field of study. Experience with Microsoft Office applications is required; experience with AutoCad or MicroStation is preferred. Strong communication skills are required. Must be able to work in the field in all weather conditions. Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
