Job Description:
Under the direction of the Department Manager of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, assists in the development and administration of Pace's diversity, equity and inclusion program, work plan, policies, and procedures; educates and provides input to staff on Pace's diversity, equity and inclusion program, work plan, policies, and procedures; coordinates internal and external events to promote Pace's commitment, and progress on achieving its diversity, equity and inclusion goals and objectives; collaborates with Human Resources, Procurement and DBE to ensure that diversity, equity and inclusion is reflected in hiring and retention of employees and contracting opportunities; and performs other duties as assigned. Duties are performed in a professional office environment with a majority of the workday spent doing computer/paperwork. Local travel is required.
Qualifications:
Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record. Must have a bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field and a minimum of five (5) years' experience working with equity, diversity and inclusion programs and a good work record, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Diversity and equity certification is preferred. Must have in depth understanding of and working knowledge regarding the development, implementation, administration, and monitoring of equity, diversity and inclusion programs, including best practices. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills strong people skills, and strong organizational, time management and critical thinking skills. Must be proficient with computers including a demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel); experience using Oracle is preferred.
