Job Description:
Under the direction of the Department Manager, Human Resources, is responsible for assisting in overseeing all Human Resources operations and processes ensuring that day-to-day Human Resources operations run smoothly. Assists with training and supervising department staff, developing, reviewing, implementing, and enforcing Pace policies and procedures; assists with employee relations, discipline, and termination; conducts internal investigations, identifies problems and recommends solutions; assists with recruitment and development of recruitment initiatives, onboarding, testing, and offboarding. Assists with compensation, benefits, and budget. Monitors adherence to internal policies and procedures and federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and recommended best practices to maintain compliance. Creates, maintains, and manages records and reports. Stays abreast of trends, regulatory changes, and recent technologies in Human Resources, talent management, and employment law. Assists with employee professional development, training, and certification. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidate must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record. Must have a bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field. Must have a minimum of eight years' previous managerial experience in Human Resources and a thorough knowledge of employment related laws, regulations, and best practices. Proficiency with computers including the Internet, Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel, and with Oracle HRIS is required. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Must be highly organized and detail oriented and possess the ability to identify and prioritize key objectives while performing daily duties. Must possess a high degree of flexibility and adaptability and the ability to successfully manage multiple activities simultaneously to meet deadlines. Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be able handle sensitive information with professionalism while maintaining strict confidentiality. Work is primarily performed in a professional office environment with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Local travel is required.
