Job Description:
Under the direction of the Senior Project Manager of Coordinated Projects, the Senior Project Manager is responsible for the contract management of paratransit service providers in the Pace six-county region, and for project management of locally defined coordinated demand response services, ADA paratransit, traditional local dial-a ride, On Demand, and other paratransit services; collaborating with local sponsors to design and implement demand response services including county-wide coordinated projects to advance access and mobility in the region; providing support with administering all Paratransit programs and projects to achieve the Pace's mission and the goals of the Paratransit Department; performing contract management tasks to ensure compliance of contract requirements and adherence to Pace policies and procedures; analyzing data and key performance indicators (run structures, capacity hours, batching results, call center statistics, etc.); monitoring contractor daily operations; implementing innovative, effective service designs to improve efficiency and recommending service improvements; preparing and reconciling contractor payments and local share invoices, including managing purchase order account balances, expenditure projections for local share budgets, and grant(s) funding status; representing Pace at meetings and public events; providing reports, service analyses, and project assessments; assisting with development and/or enhancement of local service design for transit access and mobility; preparing reports for project and service analysis; communicating with internal and external customers; providing direct support in the day-to-day operation of Pace services in a dynamic work environment; and performing other duties as assigned. This is a safety sensitive position. Must be able to work a flexible work schedule as needed to meet public transit demands. Local travel to Pace project sites within the Pace six-county region, and travel outside of the Pace six-county region is required..
Qualifications:
Must have a valid driver's license with a safe driving record and a bachelor's degree in business administration, planning, public administration, logistics, or relevant discipline or equivalent work experience. Must have a minimum three years' management experience in demand response transit services and mobility management or similar experience and must have a good work history. Experience with implementation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act and U.S. DOT, FTA, and ADA transportation regulations is required. Must have working knowledge of demand response reservations, scheduling, and dispatching as well as paratransit performance measures and contract requirements. Must have working knowledge of government contract management, paratransit operations best practices, transportation coordination initiatives, and grant management. Must be highly proficient in the use of computer software specifically, Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, MS Project, and PowerPoint), intermediate to advanced skill level for MS Excel is required. Experience with Trapeze scheduling and routing software, Oracle and Apex databases, and Adobe Docs is preferred. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, public speaking skills, customer service skills, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to give sound direction and follow-up to ensure tasks are successfully completed in a timely fashion. Strong math and analytical skills are required. Must be able to adapt and respond quickly to meet deadlines. Work is performed in an office environment. Must be able to lift and carry 25 pounds.
