Job Description:
Under the direction of the Manager, Chicago Paratransit Contracted Services, is responsible for providing support for the oversight of the various Pace paratransit programs and projects. This position assists with administering Pace paratransit programs and projects including the Taxi Access program (TAP), ADA Paratransit services, local Dial-A-Ride programs, local coordinated paratransit services, and Rideshare projects. Reconciles TAP invoices and processes payments timely. Assists with taxi provider audits; prepares daily, weekly, and monthly summary reports. Answers service inquires, composes and disseminates information, and communicates with internal and external customers, including TAP and Paratransit passengers, the general public, contractors, public officials, public and private service agencies, and other Pace departments. Monitors contractor's Purchase Order balances. Receives and timely processes requests for TAP agreements. Processes TAP customer card requests timely. Provides support for subscription trip requests, and the day-to day operations of contracted service including unexpected or planned occurrences. Performs other duties as assigned. Must be open to work schedule changes as needed to meet public transit demand. Work is performed in an office environment. Travel to Pace project sites within the six-county RTA region is required. This is a safety-sensitive
position.
Qualifications:
Must have a valid state of Illinois, Wisconsin, or Indiana driver's license and a good driving record. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, a bachelor's degree in business administration, planning, public administration, or related discipline or equivalent work experience is preferred. Must have a DOT certificate. Must have a minimum of three years' experience in demand response transit services or similar experience with a good work history; experience with implementation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Acts and U.S. DOT/FTA ADA Transportation regulations is preferred. Must be proficient in the use of computer software specifically, Microsoft Office suite applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), intermediate skill using MS Excel and MS Word is required. Experience with Trapeze scheduling and routing software, Oracle and Apex databases, and Adobe Docs is preferred. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, public speaking skills, customer service telephone skills, and interpersonal skills; attention to detail is required. Must be able to adapt and respond quickly to meet deadlines; strong math and analysis skills are required. Must be able to lift and carry 25 pounds.
