Job Description:
Under the direction of the Section Manager, Small Purchases, is responsible for procuring non-inventory MRO parts, supplies and services for Pace Fox Valley, River, Heritage, North Shore, Southwest, and North Divisions. Manages, prepares, and submit bids with adequate scope, while ensuring conformity with applicable FTA and Pace requirements and best practices for all blankets, blanket releases, and standard purchase orders. Assists Buyer Planners in all phases, functions, and steps in the inventoried parts procurement process. Oversees and review Materials Management blanket/term contracts involving brake lining, diesel fuel/fluid, various bus parts, other parts, and service contracts exceeding $10,000. Addresses, investigates, and resolves bid irregularities, contractor defaults, and disputes. Performs other duties as required. Work is performed in a professional office environment.
Qualifications:
Must have a bachelor's degree in business or equivalent work experience. Must have 7-10 years of progressively increasing responsibility in purchasing, materials planning governmental work experience with a good work history. Proficiency with computers, including using the internet, Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel, and Oracle is required. Must be customer service oriented and have excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
