Job Description:
Under the direction of the Department Manager, Human Resources, the Front Desk Receptionist fills a critical gatekeeper role for Pace Headquarters. The position requires communication skills to serve Pace customers in a courteous and professional manner. Duties include greeting customers, job applicants, vendors, and other visitors; answering incoming calls and directing them to the appropriate individual/department; receiving and directing clients, mail and packages to appropriate individual/department; processing reduced fare card applications, free fare and disability permit applications, including taking reduced and free fare applicant and ADA paratransit certification applicant pictures and mailing all information to the RTA. Provide route schedules as requested and maintain bus schedules in front lobby. Exceptional attendance is key. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of two years' experience in customer service or related field. Must have a good work history, including attendance. Must be able to operate office equipment including a telephone, copier, scanner, and printer. Must be courteous, patient, customer-service oriented, and display a friendly and professional demeanor at all times. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Must have excellent communication and people skills, strong customer service orientation, attention to detail; and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Work is performed in a well-maintained and modern office setting, providing a comfortable and professional workspace. Work hours are typically between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. daily. Occasional flexibility may be required to accommodate business needs. This is an in-office position, and telecommuting is not available.
