Pace Federal Project Requests

South Suburban BRT Mobility Network Project

PROJECT: This project creates bus rapid transit (BRT) corridors on Halsted between 95th Street and Chicago Heights and along 159th Street between Hammond, IN and Orland Park. It is part of an expansive network of TSP routes throughout the suburban area of northeastern Illinois on arterial streets.

FUNDING: Pace received an earmark for the South Suburban BRT project for $418,000 in SAFETEA-LU.

UPDATE: Pace received an earmark for $800,000 for this project  in the House FY07 appropriations bill.
