Due to the expiration of a federal grant and a decline in ridership, the Pace Board of Directors, at its October meeting, approved the discontinuation of Routes 580, 581 and 582 after the last trips are operated on Friday, November 20, 2009.
As an alternative, some passengers may wish to consider using Pace Routes 272 or 626. Please contact the RTA Travel Center from any Chicagoland area code at 836-7000 or view the Pace website at www.pacebus.com to learn of other route alternatives in the region.
Pace vanpools may also be an option for you. For more information about the Pace vanpool program, please call 847-228-2492.
