Due to the closure on Western Ave. at 136th St. in Blue Island for the reconstruction
of the railroad crossing, Route 349 will detour as follows:
- Western Ave.
- 138th St.
- Chatham St.
- 135th St.
- Western Ave.
The construction work is expected to be completed and the intersection reopened
on Friday, October 30, 2009. At that time, buses will return to the normal routing.
