Agency marks seat of honor on suburban buses

This Thursday, December 1, Pace is joining transit agencies across the country in commemorating the 50th anniversary of Rosa Park’s refusal to give up her bus seat.

A front seat on all Pace buses will be marked with a decal in her honor. Pace is also honoring Ms. Parks with signs, a video on transit televisions and a message on their website, www.pacebus.com.

Pace Executive Director T.J. Ross said the agency wanted to honor the spirit of Rosa Parks in ways that reflected her place in the civil rights movement and American history.
