Printing from the Pace Web SiteThe Pace web site is designed to be viewed by a wide audience, using many different kinds of computers (IBM, HP, Apple), version of operating system (Windows, Mac OS), and screen settings (resolution).
We have laid out the site so that (except for the Home Page) there is a header and a footer, a left navigation area and a content area on the right.
Sometimes the content area has another column with a picture or some text, but this varies depending on the kind of information presented on that page.
Commonly, users will need to print the content area but may not have need of the non-content area.
This can be done by selecting the text in the content area, and telling your printer software controls to only print the current selection.
Long PagesFor some very long pages, the "click and drag" method can be difficult, and another means may be used.
For long pages, left click and release the first letter of the page headline (usually a large, blue font), then use the scroll bar to go to the bottom of the area you want to print (but do NOT click inside the web document area, this will move the selection location). Once you see the bottom line that you want included in your printed copy, hold the Shift key then click the last letter (a period or other symbol will do as well).
This should select all the text from the first point you clicked at the top and the second click at the bottom. Now, print using the "Selection" option button in your printer control screen.
Adobe PDF's (Schedules and Maps)Adobe provides free reader software to display and print Portable Document Format (PDF) for almost every kind of computer available. Because the PDF file is compatible with all computers and printers, we use it to create many documents, including contracts, maps and schedules. When the PDF opens, you will notice a new printer icon in the upper left cornet of the PDF reader software which opens to display PDF files. To print, do not use the printer icon in your browser, instead use the Adobe printer icon for best results.
Internet Explorer unable to print right edge of large pages
Because of a problem in Internet Explorer, some wide pages may print out with the right edge missing. This is not a problem with the Pace web site, but can affect print outs of web pages. To avoid this issue, we recommend that, if the right edge is not printing properly, instruct your printer to print in landscape mode instead of portrait mode. This is done in the printer settings screen, and varies not only by type of computer and operating system, but also by printer brand as well. Usually it is two buttons labeled Landscape and Portrait in the printer settings screen.
Other printing issuesDespite our efforts to provide easy-to-use web pages that work perfectly for everyone, there are many problems that can affect printing other than these. Sometimes, you may need to reload a page to get it to print correctly. Also, if your printer is not set up properly, it can print incorrectly. It is beyond our ability to determine why every problem happens, so you may need to call your computer's technical support, or your printer's technical support, to find a solution to your problem. Pace regrets it can not assist for every problem that arises, but if you feel that one of our pages is a problem, and you are able to print other pages without problems, please tell us using the easy web form or e-mail the Pace Web Development team at webdeveloper@pacebus.com. Details of the error, especially exact error messages, assist us in helping you solve these problems, also if you want us to contact you, please tell us a daytime phone number where you may be reached, or an e-mail address when we can reply to you.
