Assistant Superintendent of Maintenance

Location: Markham
Office: Revenue Services
Department: Bus Operations

Job Description:
Under the direction of the Regional Manager or designate, responsible for bus and vehicle fleet maintenance, utilization of maintenance manpower, maintenance and security of the vehicles, facilities, and grounds. Coordinate and direct the maintenance staff in daily operations, training/testing, monitoring productivity, quality of work, and adherence to established standards. Administer Pace policies, procedures, rules, regulations, and develop and implement these programs and practices. Assist with maintenance budgets and staffing planning, review purchasing costs and stockroom activities. Participate in grievance hearings, labor/management and staff meetings. Provide technical expertise and knowledge to assist and support the maintenance staff/division vehicle fleet.

Qualifications:
Qualified candidate must be at least 21 years of age and have a high school diploma or G.E.D., Vocational/technical diploma. Must have Certification ASE Refrigerant, CLD-A, DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate. Must have a minimum of four years maintenance experience, minimum two eyars management experience, excellent work history, excellent work history, excellent written and oral communications skills and interpersonal skills. Must be proficient in computer word processing programs and computer applications to the extent required by specific job functions, and must be prepared to write documents related to job duties using the word processing applicatons.
